* If you don’t have a lot of money to spend but want to say you drive a new Jeep, the Patriot could be your entry to the brand. Drivers requiring enhanced traction for foul weather or Jeep’s Trail-Rated off-road ability can choose between two 4-wheel-drive (4WD) systems for the Patriot. Source: KBB.com
* Comfortable front seats; optional flip-down tailgate speakers; above-average off-road capability with Freedom Drive II; attractively priced. Source: Edmunds
* The 2015 Patriot has a body style that hearkens back to the Cherokee of the past but with a refreshingly modern twist. Geometric angles, bold fender flares, and body colored grille freshen up the look while maintaining the familiar Jeep look that people love. Available in three models: Sport, Latitude and Limited. The Sport and Latitude come standard with a 2.0-Liter, 4-Cylinder 158hp engine. The Limited comes standard with a 2.4-liter, 4-Cylinder engine with 172hp and is an option for other models. The Sport and Latitude come standard with a five-speed manual transmission with an option to get a 6-speed automatic. With the Limited, the automatic is standard and the manual is an option. All three models can be purchased in either 4x2 or 4x4 versions. However, with the 4x4, the standard engine is the 2.4-liter, and the Sport comes standard with a manual and the other 2 models come with the automatic. With the Patriot's fuel efficiency capabilities the best gas mileage is achieved with the 4x2 Sport or Latitude models with the 2.0-liter 4-Cylinder engine and manual transmission. It gives you an EPA estimated 23MPG City and 30MPG Highway. On the inside, you find a comfortable cabin that is easy to utilize and maintain. Standard on all models is an audio jack for your mobile devices. Not only do you get 53.5 cubic feet of room when the rear seats are folded down, in the Latitude and Limited models you get extra space with a standard front passenger seat that folds flat. For safety, it comes with six airbags, Anti-lock brakes, brake assist, stability control, electronic roll mitigation, and hill start assist. Source: The Manufacturer Summary

The Cheaper Jeep
By Chris | on Monday, February 08, 2016
Jeep is well known for off road capabilities and overall the patriot will do the job off road. I recently traded in my patriot for a wrangler. I liked driving my patriot and only had a complaint about the quality of certain things in the car such as the weather molding coming undone after 6 months. Little things like the radio would randomly act up and cause minor headaches. Although I generally liked my patriot the most alarming thing is how horribly these patriots hold their value. Upon wanting to trade I was told my Jeep had depreciated over $9,000 and had to trade in with negative equity. They had over 20 patriots on the lot and only 2 wranglers. Simply put I think if you can afford a little higher payment it is worth investing in a wrangler. The resale value stays extremely strong for wranglers and I personally just love owning a wrangler! Although the patriot makes a great family car for a cheaper initial price tag.… - 5.0
Great vehicle for the price
By Gordo | on Sunday, November 27, 2011
My wife had a Jeep Liberty and we were looking for something that got better fuel mileage but still 4wd. The jeep patriot is still just as roomy and fun to drive. I would recommend this vehicle to family of 4 and anyone who lives in a winter climate.… - 1.0
Money pit!! Avoid at all costs
Wednesday, September 01, 2021
We bought this Jeep brand new. Have replaced the transmission, head, water pump, radiator, transmission dipstick (it fell off and almost lodged into the fan), it dies while driving yearly which is fixed by replacing the camshaft and crankshaft sensor. Have put almost $7,000 in repairs. We took it for its routine oil changes, brake service, tune up and STILL these issues appeared. I messaged and called Jeep/Mopar about these issues and never receive a response, so I vowed to tell anyone and everyone to AVOID JEEP PRODUCTS. Absolutely ruined my excitement over buying my first new car.…
